Born and raised in San Jose, California, Mari was heavily involved with competitive softball for many years, and was a pitcher on two well known travel teams in the Bay Area. She attended Grand Canyon University where she obtained her BS in Exercise Science with an Emphasis in Health Education.
During her time at Grand Canyon University, Mari was given the chance to travel alongside a global outreach team to a very small, rural town in the Philippines. While there, she worked alongside nurses at the village pregnancy clinic where she assisted with patient intake, documenting and assessing heart-rate and blood pressure readings. It was there that she recognized her desire to evaluate and guide various populations by facilitating successful health and wellness programs.
Shortly after graduating, Mari became a Certified Personal Trainer through the American Council on Exercise to continue on the road to helping others achieve overall health and well-being through active goal setting, population analysis, and specified education.
Mari has utilized her knowledge in classroom settings and has taught nutritional education seminars to English as a second language students at the Campbell Adult and Community Education Center in California. She is now very thankful to be a part of the Results Only team, where she’s able to utilize her acquired skills and build off of her background in exercise science.
