I accomplished a goal I had set a while ago to do the Grand Canyon top- to bottom- to top again.
There might be some people out there who think this is no big deal but I had never done it so I wanted too.You see I am such an interval guy I rarely do things that are long.
Over 18 miles and a change of 5000 feet elevation two times in one day seemed a little daunting to me. I have been to phantom ranch, done day hikes, and spent time in the Grand Canyon before but two things I wanted to do were to hike rim to rim to rim and do the Canyon in a day.One down one to go.
Greg Norman has always been a powerful presence on the golf course. However many of you who are on my list may know him more for his wine than golf because he has been away from the game for such a long time.
This past weekend “the Shark” (for those of you who didn’t know it) struck again at age 53. Tiger Woods has been sidelined with a knee injury and the PGA Tour was frazzled that viewership would be down during his absence. The golf gods answered in spades giving an aging (in golf terms only) professional a chance to make history.
Greg did not fulfill the dream many wanted. He did not fall part by any means, however he was forced to succumb to the golf course’s weather, winds, and treachery on the final day of competition.
July 3rd marked the halfway point of the year. The entire first half of 2008 has entered the history books and we are less than six months away from 2009.
How are you making out on those New Year’s Resolutions? Are you focused and checking them off one by one?Are you on track with your goals?
So I have been patiently waiting for a family member to send out pictures from my sister’s wedding to add into the blog.No pictures yet.
Not to mention that taking a few days off wreaks havoc on the entrepreneur gym owner.
I am back in the saddle again after a short week.
The Phoenicians have made their mass exodus from town in an attempt to get away from the heat.
It really is not so bad.
I find the nights particularly interesting because we go through what is called “monsoon season”.
Now don’t think south pacific but think about an hour or two of high winds followed by an intense 15 minutes of rain.
It really is a site to see and can take the edge off even the crankiest of people.
I love to open the gym doors and crank the music and settle in for the storm.
Rain is something you miss when you move to Phoenix which is why I looked insane at my sisters wedding when I refused to come in from the reception because it was pouring.
Anyway back to Annapolis… how many people can say that they had a FIRE at their reception?Once again, would have been nice to have pictures but oh well.
I only mention this because I have gotten at least 2 dozen inquiries from people who read the newsletter asking about the trip.
It is nice to know not only that you read my info but that you genuinely care about my family.
I will show some in the future. All turned out fine but it made for interesting chatter during the reception.
So what do I have for you today?? Might want to give youtube a chance to load it so the video doesn’t stutter. Press play once and then pause so the video can stay ahead of you.
Well I am posting a temporary video clip of what I will put on my home page. You see I have been spending a lot of time redoing things that just didn’t get right the first time.
The home page has been high on my list.
To explain… I never knew exactly what to say for a video testimonial.
Believe me, loss for words is not something people use to describe me but the fact was I am who I coach and teach.
That is who you need to see to know exactly what I do.So here you have it.My first video for 7th St.
I will continue to tweak it, get the timing a little better, and add an intro from me but the bottom line is it has a good feel for what I do.
Please let me know what you think.Love it or hate it is not important.Never mind I have spent more than a few hours on it.
