I am going back East this week to a training conference. I am lucky enough to know and be a part of a group of trainers who are considered the top professionals in our industry. This conference will probably have 200 of the top 250 trainers in the world in attendance, which is a great group of people to be part of. I always return home with inspiration and creativity.
I am sure I will have a ton to talk about when I get back. You will probably see some new videos, more blog posts, and very cutting-edge stuff that I will put my own spin on.
You see, the secret of my success in both training and as a business owner is to take what the top people are doing and spin it. My clients say I “Bobbyize” it. Well that is what they tell me any way. Under their breath I am pretty certain I often hear more than a few four letter words.
I am pretty certain there will be a huge push for me to create a new product or two. Over the years, I have developed DVD’s, videos, and books. And each time I return from an event like this I get trainers who email me, “Bobby I really wish you would write a book on how to do this or that.”
We will see about that. But for now, I want to talk about what happens when my clients and readers ask me about what they are doing wrong in their training when they think they are doing it right.
I have some pretty good ideas on the subject. And I bet you really want to know how to jump that hurdle to when it comes your way.
I am thankful to get out of the heat for a few days even though I will be in a convention center for most of the time. Still trips like these always make my job a little more interesting. They are a nice way to end 2008.
Thanks for all the continued well wishes on my ankle. I think I will be able to get back to normal training when I get back.
