Summer Body Prep!

A ton of things are going on here in the southwest.  Arizona is at its best this time of year.  We have beautiful days and cool nights.   The mountains are full of people getting some hiking in and the bikers are out in full force getting ready for some of the many rides Arizona puts on over the next few months.  
 
While much of the rest of the country is still dealing with the remnants of the winter doldrums, we are gearing up for tank tops, spaghetti straps, shorts, bathing suits, and let’s not forget the guys going shirtless and the ladies bikinis.
 
You see, when it gets to be 110° there is very little choice to get cool.  I must admit that rarely do I get the client who puts on winter weight here in Arizona like I did in Washington D.C., simply because we really don’t have to bundle up all that much over the cooler months.  Nevertheless, a bathing suit is a bathing suit, so everything shows. 
 
The transformation group is in the final phase and we will be getting our body fat tested in early May to reveal the best competitor.  I didn’t want to use the term “biggest loser” either… because my clients are intelligent they realize they may not need to lose as much weight as they think and they will put on some muscle along the way.  
 
I have spent some time tweaking the website over the weekend looking for things that needed updates.  As you know we changed some of our programming, there is a new look and some new information.  
 
Please take a moment to look around.  There are definitely items that are new and you won’t want to miss. 
 
I also wanted to thank so many of you for your kind remarks regarding the Chris Klug article.  It was nice to read that you appreciated the fact that I work with so many “celebrities” and choose not to name drop.  And that it was obvious that I want to help anyone who wants to make changes to their bodies and lives, not just the “famous” people.  It really is such a fine line in marketing to help get your programs in front of so many people to just cave in and say I train “so and so” so you should train with me too.  
 
For today’s article I wanted to add a little creativity to your workouts.  Knowing that my clients are getting in summer shape, I need to ensure that as many of their workouts are used for optimum fat burning sessions. Therefore, I need to mix the perfect blend of high intensity cardio and strength.  
 
As many of you know, I try and really change things up on a regular basis.  So for this workout you will need a deck of cards.  That is all I will say but be prepared for one heck of a ride. Try it out on your next routine I think you will enjoy the variety and the nonstop intensity.
